Crime Victim Services seeks volunteers for CASA program

LIMA — Court Appointed Special Advocate of Allen and Putnam Counties, a program of Crime Victim Services, will hold an orientation from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday for those interested in participating in the 2017 Spring Training Class. The class will be held in the Crime Victim Services office, located at 330 N. Elizabeth St.

Attendees will learn about the role of CASA, complete an application, participate in an interview, and perform a background check. Refreshments will be provided.

CASA is a volunteer-driven organization dedicated to providing a voice for children who have been abused and neglected, according to a written statement from the organization.
