Putnam County Common Pleas Court

Feb. 3

Rogelio L. Pardo, 36, 205 E. Maple St., Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 30 days in jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included operating a motor vehicle intoxicated and without a valid license in Columbus Grove on Aug. 23, 2016, and failing to attend domestic violence counseling on Sept. 29. He had been convicted of domestic violence. The sentence shall be concurrent with a municipal court case.

Anthony J. Stapleton, 27, N 430 County Road 12, Napoleon, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for possession of drugs (cocaine). The sentence shall run concurrent with a Henry County case and he was given credit for 21 days served. Charges of possession of drugs (methamphetamines) and possession of drugs (marijuana) were dismissed.

Feb. 8

Anthony M. Birnesser, 42, 10805 State Route 12, Columbus Grove, was sentenced to 180 days in jail for an amended charge of theft, with 177 days suspended. He was given credit for one day served, must pay $7,500 restitution to the victim and serve 50 hours’ community service.

Garret M. Howell, 28, 438 S. Main St., Apt. 4, Bluffton, was sentenced to 180 days jail for an amended charge of carrying a concealed weapon, with 175 days suspended. He must forfeit the firearm seized in this matter, undergo treatment at an outpatient facility, and maintain employment. Howell was also fined $50 for possession of drugs (marijuana).

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Feb. 2

Layton O. Donaldson, 20, 7362 County Road 12, Ottawa, pleaded no contest to drug abuse/possession and was found guilty. Sentence: $150 fine and six-month license suspension. He was also fined $150 for drug paraphernalia and $50 for tinted windows.

Cari L. Geckle, 19, 215 W. Williamstown Road, Ottawa, pleaded no contest to OVI and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 177 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one year license suspension, with completion of three days jail upon completion of DIP.

Robert J. Schnippel, 49, 17436 Fairway Drive, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, three-year license suspension, and complete mental health assessment. Another charge of OVI and a charge of left of center were dismissed.

Feb. 6

Duane M. Niese, 58, 129 Oak St., Leipsic, pleaded no contest to theft and was found guilty. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, and pay restitution of $433.58 to victim.

Michael L. Fortman, 32, 211 Williamstown Road, Lima, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 30 days jail, 29 days suspended, and complete a mental health assessment.

Angela M. Lucas, 20, 405 W. Sycamore St., Apt. E, Columbus Grove, pleaded guilty to assault. Sentence: 180 days jail, suspended, $150 fine,

Mandy Jenkins, 38, 6616 Dingledine Ave., Lima, pleaded no contest to village income tax and was found guilty. Sentence: 10 days jail, suspended, $150 fine suspended, on condition she abide by payment plan with the village of Pandora. Another count was dismissed.

Selena C. Chasco, 21, 609 Morse St., Findlay, pleaded guilty to OVI. Sentence: 180 days jail, 170 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one year license suspension. She was also fined $200 for failure to reinstate license

Feb. 7

Leyton S. Wheeler, 18, 3821 Stewart Road, Lima, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of disorderly conduct. Sentence: $150 fine. A charge of seat belt was dismissed.

Danial R. Benton, 33, 117 E. Center St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to domestic violence. Sentence: 180 days jail, 60 days suspended, $250 fine, and complete mental health assessment.
