CELINA — Mercer County Engineer Jim Wiechart announced that the inspections of Mercer County’s 394 bridges on township and county roads have been completed. Wiechart and county bridge supervisor T.J. Smalley completed the inspections before the end of 2016.
Bridge inspection is an annual job. Bridge maintenance/work orders are generated from the yearly inspections, decisions on future bridge replacement/rehabilitation’s are made and finally, they are inspected to ensure the safety of Mercer County residents.
