Country music artist Chase Bryant coming to Lima

LIMA — County music artist Chase Bryant will headline 92.1 The Frog’s eighth annual St. Jude “Partners in Hope” Concert this spring. The concert will be held at 7 p.m. April 14 at Veterans Memorial Civic Center.

General public ticket sales begin at noon Friday. Tickets are $75 VIP (includes meet-and-greet with Bryant and a CD), $50 pit seats, $23 general seating (front) and $19 general seating (rear). All tickets are subject to a $5 fee. They are available at www.921thefrog.com or by calling Civic Center Box Office, 419-224-1552.

Bryant has had two Top 10 hits, starting with his 2014 debut single, “Take It On Back” and continuing with his second release later that year, “Little Bit of You.” His current single, “Room to Breathe,” was No. 44 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in December.

Bryant, a Texan by birth, grew up in a musical family. His grandfather played piano for Roy Orbison and Waylon Jennings. His uncles co-founded the group Ricochet, which had several hits in the 1990s.

“From the time I was a kid, the only thing I wanted to do was play music,” he said in a statement.

Since 2010, 92.1 The Frog has been bringing big-name country acts like Parmalee, Craig Morgan and Scotty McCreery to Lima to benefit the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

“We’re helping to stop childhood cancer in its tracks,” Childers Media Group Program Director Dave Woodward said in a statement.
