2-vehicle crash late Friday leaves 1 dead north of Lima

LIMA — A Columbus Grove man is dead after a two-vehicle crash late Friday north of Lima.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, at 11:08 p.m., Michael L. Litten, 63, of Columbus Grove, was driving a 1999 Toyota Camry north on North West Street near the Ottawa Road intersection. Terry Bartley, 56, of Bellefontaine, driving a 2012 Freightliner tractor-trailer, was stopped at the stop sign at Ottawa Road at the West Street intersection. He was turning left when his truck was struck by Litten.

Litten suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Bartley was treated for minor injuries, and both were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash, which remained under investigation Saturday.
