LIMA — Lima’s 6th Ward will host a neighborhood cleanup beginning Tuesday, according to 6th Ward Councilman Derry Glenn.
The cleanup will focus on areas in the 6th Ward along Holly, Broadway, Oak, Ontario, Weadock, Kibby, Atlantic and Metcalf streets. Cleanup efforts will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. every weekday evening and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday until work is completed on each of the streets. Cleanup will include picking up trash along the curbs, and residents are encouraged to clean up backyards ahead of time, with trash to be picked up during cleanup efforts.
Volunteers looking to help are asked to meet at 4;30 p.m. at Dairy Mart, 531 W. Kibby St. Gloves and other equipment will be available to use. All ages are welcome to volunteer, according to Glenn.
