BLUFFTON — The Allen County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery that occurred shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday at Columbus Grove-Bluffton Road and state Route 696.
According to the sheriff’s office, the victim reported she was westbound on Columbus Grove-Bluffton Road approaching state Route 696 when she noticed a black truck following her. She stated a black male approached her vehicle and began asking for directions, at which time she got out of the car to help him.
The victim stated the next thing she remembered was seeing blood. She described the black male as 5 foot 8, 150 pounds, and wearing a baseball cap, possibly green in color. During the incident, the victim’s purse was taken.
According to the sheriff’s report, the victim did receive injuries to her face, but refused treatment at the time of the incident. Sheriff’s deputies are continuing the investigation.
