The winners of the 27th annual Artfest held at the St. Marys Community Library have been announced.
Winners were selected by judges Dan Knepper and Jordan Knepper.
Gary Hovey was awarded best of show for his stainless steel flatware sculpture, Whoo’s Hungry. The Friends Annual Award went to Julie Baltes for “Life After Death” (pencil). First place went to Debby Gregory for her acrylic painting, “Blue Bird.” Second place was awarded to Jeff Doseck for his photograph, “Roxy.” Third Place went to Pat Rayman for “On the Way to Defiance” (watercolor).
The Alternative Media Award went to Cathy Huber for “Nature’s Tree”; the Three Dimensional Award was awarded to Jerry Knoch for “Traffic Jam” (glass); the Photography Award went to Cathy Huber for “Galway Dawn.” The Ohio Theme Award went to Donald Nuss for “Lock 13” (photograph); and the Painting Award was awarded to Rhonda Hager for “Jerry and the Parrots” (acrylic).
Honorable Mentions were awarded to: Julie Baltes, Donelda Conrad, Jane Kippold, Jeff Doseck, Calen Fledderjohann, Rhonda Hager, Jodi Knoch, Tom Lehman, Michiko Matthews, Keith Norman, Melanie Norman and Barbara Tompary.
