Step Above Dance Studio has successful competition season

LIMA — The A Step Above Dance Studio competition team completed an outstanding competition season.

The team competed in four regional and one national competition.

In Power of Dance at Columbus in March, the team brought home 23 ruby, nine diamond and 30 overall awards. Lily Webb, Isabella French and Jill Myers took home special awards.

At the That’s Entertainment competition in Dayton also in March, the team received nine solid gold plus, 19 platinum and 13 overall awards. Megan Kizer, Tod Fish, Lily Webb and Jordyn Rider all received special awards. Emma Crowe, Alanah Cook, Olyvia Sloan and Kizer were invited to be a part of the elite performance team.

In April the team received one second place rating, 26 first place ratings and five ultimate victory ratings. Kayleigh Boyd, Sloan and Kizer received special awards. The team received the studio sportsmanship award.

The team took home 22 high gold, seven platinum and six overall awards at the Celebrate Talent competition in May in Toledo. Fish and Webb both won individual awards. Several group performances also won special awards.

At the national championship in June, the team brought home one ultimate victory, 30 first places and 10 overall placements.
