Findlay man killed when hit by train

FINDLAY — A 47-year-old man was killed during the weekend when he was struck by a train while on the tracks.

Bryan P. Emans, of Findlay, was pronounced dead after he was hit by a train south of the 400 block of East Lincoln Street at 10 p.m. Saturday, Findlay Police Department officials reported.

Emans was lying on the tracks when the CSX train approached him. The train crew sounded its horn and Emans tried to get off the tracks but was unable, police reported.

Emans was knocked off the tracks where his body was found. Emergency responders were called to the scene and Emans was declared dead a short time later, police reported.
