LIMA — Trilogy Health Services LLC will build two new nursing homes in the Lima area.
Construction on a 95-bed facility will begin on Eastown Road Aug. 1. Construction on another 97-bed facility began last week on Ambrose Drive in Delphos. Both facilities will be completed in about a year and will be open for patients in 15 months.
Trilogy Vice President of Communications Leslie Knox said the company bought Springfield Manor on West Spring Street in Lima and Richland Manor on Swaney Road in Bluffton in 2006. She said the two new facilities are being built to accommodate more patients.
“The two facilities we have are great, but we have limited capacity,” Knox said. “We don’t have the ability to expand and it wasn’t possible to add on to those existing facilities.”
Knox said the two new buildings will have space for expansion if needed in the future. Springfield Manor will remain in operation after the buildings are complete. However, Richland Manor will be closed and patients will be transported to one of the other three facilities depending on the care they need.
The new Lima location will employ 100 to 120 employees once fully staffed. It will offer assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation, long term care, adult day services and respite care. The assisted living facility will have 24 beds, the health center capacity will be 54 and there will be 14 beds for memory care.
The Delphos facility will also employ between 100 and 120 employees and will include all of the same services with the exception of the memory care unit. There will be 43 beds for assisted living and 54 for the health center.
