Appellate court candidate to speak to Hardin Democrats

KENTON — A candidate for the 3rd District Court of Appeals will be the featured speaker for the Hardin County Democrats’ annual kickoff dinner.

Judge Randall Basinger, the Putnam County common pleas court judge, will speak. The native of Putnam County has served as an appellate judge assigned by the Supreme Court on the 11th and 8th District Courts of Appeals. He graduated from Bowling Green State University and Case Western Reserve University. He previously served as an assistant prosecutor in Lake and Putnam counties.

The dinner begins at 6 p.m. July 30 at Goshen Grange Hall, 18977 County Road 20, east of Kenton. Donations are $15 for adults and $10 for students, with carry-out dinners. There is also an auction planned.
