COLUMBUS — Ohio Gov. John Kasich ordered that all flags be flown at half-staff on all public buildings and grounds throughout the state effective immediately until sunset Tuesday in response to orders issued by President Barack Obama to honor the victims of the attack in Nice, France.
The order reads: “In accordance with orders issued today by the President of the United States of America and as a mark of respect for the victims of the attack perpetrated on July 14, 2016, in Nice, France, I hereby proclaim, by the authority vested in me as Governor of the State of Ohio by the Ohio Constitution and the laws of the United States of America, that the flags of the United States of America and the State of Ohio shall be flown at half-staff upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state of Ohio effective immediately until sunset, July 19, 2016.”
