LIMA — Lima’s 6th Ward Councilman Derry Glenn is alerting young people in Lima and Allen County of a summer job opportunity with his Community Action Program.
In an effort to foster a positive work ethic among area teenagers ages 14 to 16, Glenn is offering a weekend job paying $10 per hour, with four-hour work days the next three weekends starting June 18.
While on the job, young people will learn how to do inventory work, as well as learning resume writing and other job skills. There will be 60 positions available. Anyone interested in applying should call Glenn at 419-905-9572. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, Glenn said.
