2 hospitalized after 5-vehicle crash on I-75 Friday afternoon

NORTH BALTIMORE — Two people were injured in a five-car crash that occurred on Interstate 75 at 4:17 p.m. Friday.

According to a report from the Findlay post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred near exit 167 in Wood County.

Riad Mana, 47, of Ontario, was driving a tractor-trailer north on I-75. Mana drove into the rear of a Kia Forte driven by Keylee Coppes, 19, of Arlington. The crash caused a chain reaction, causing the Kia Forte to strike a Kia Soul driven by Jessica Luna, 18, of Findlay. The Kia Soul struck the rear of a Subaru Legacy driven by Ronald Bower, 53, and a Toyota Celica driven by John Maag, 48, who had a passenger, Cindy Freeman, 59.

Luna and Coppes were taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All vehicle occupants were wearing their safety belts.

Mana was cited for failure to maintain assured clear distance.
