ELIDA — The Johnny Appleseed Metropolitan Park District will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new Hermon Woodlands Park at 10 a.m. Saturday at the park, 485 N. Wapak Road.
During the celebration, the district will relate the history of the project, including how it procured the land for the park and what amenities are included, such as the ImagiNature Children’s Playscape, which incorporates natural elements such as logs and rocks into children’s play areas.
Hermon Woodlands will be the first park located in American Township.
