LIMA — The Memorial Day Parade will be held May 30 with the theme “Women Warriors” to recognize women who served in the military.
Any woman wanting to participate in the parade is asked to contact the Allen County Veterans Council at 419-234-4126 or 419-604-0177.
The council wants to see a strong representation of women veterans on its float. The float will be led by an all women color guard with women representing three branches of the military.
There also will be a short program after the parade at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275 at 12:30 p.m.
