Two injured in car-semi crash in Paulding Co.

PAULDING COUNTY — Two people were injured in a crash at 1:11 p.m. Thursday in Jackson Township.

According to a report from the Van Wert Ohio State Highway Patrol Post, Robert Reynolds, 62, of Delphos, was traveling south on U.S. 127 operating a 2012 Mack semitrailer. Saudra Bandy, 67, of Paulding, was also driving south on U.S. 127 and began an eastbound turn onto state Route 613. Reynolds had started to pass and struck Bandy as she was turning.

Reynolds was trapped in the vehicle and removed by mechanical means. He was not wearing his seatbelt and was flown by Samaritan Life Flight to Parkview Regional Hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Bandy was wearing her seatbelt and was treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash.

The Paulding County Sheriff’s Office, Paulding Fire Department and EMS, Gideon Wrecker Service, and Ohio Department of Transportation also assisted at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
