Road construction and maintenance

Allen County

Interstate 75 from the Auglaize County line to Fourth Street, through Lima and Allen County, will have occasional lane closures throughout the year during the final year of the reconstruction of the interstate. Current impacts to traffic are as follows:

Traffic on I-75 north and south of the Ohio 65 interchange area continues to travel in a contraflow pattern where two southbound lanes and one northbound lane of traffic are traveling on the southbound side of the interstate, and one northbound lane is traveling on the northbound side of the interstate. Traffic will remain in this pattern until late summer.

The entrance ramp from Ohio 65 to Interstate 75 northbound remains closed. Traffic is detoured north on Ohio 65 to the Fourth Street interchange back to I-75 northbound. The ramp is expected to reopen by the end of May.

Hanthorn Road over Interstate 75 remains closed.

Interstate 75 from Fourth Street to Ohio 81 will be reduced to one lane, both northbound and southbound, one direction at a time, on Monday, April 18 and Tuesday, April 19 for pavement warranty review. The restriction will begin each day at 8 a.m. and conclude by 2 p.m. Work is being performed by ODOT District 1 construction with traffic control by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Ohio 696 from Beaverdam to the Putnam County line will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Ohio 309 at Baugh Road at the U.S. 30 entrance ramp, Delphos, will be closed on April 20 for three days for culvert repair. Traffic will be detoured onto Lincoln Highway/Fifth Street back to Elida Road (Ohio 309). Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Ohio 309 (Elida Road) from Robb Avenue to Cole Street, Lima, is restricted in the westbound direction for reconstruction of the curb and gutter, upgrade of traffic signals and resurfacing of the roadway. Early in the week, the traffic restriction will switch to the eastbound direction. The continuous turn from eastbound Ohio 309 to Grand Avenue was permanently closed on March 14. Three lanes of traffic will remain open at all times throughout the duration of the project. Only one lane at a time will be taken out of service. The project will be completed in the fall. Work is being performed by Smith Paving, Norwalk.

Auglaize County

· I-75 north and south near SR 67, Lane closure April 14th between the hours of 8 am and 4 pm. One lane will remain open in each direction at all times.

· SR 66 between St. Marys Kossuth Road and Township Road 182, 24 HOUR ROAD CLOSURE April 4th – May 13th. The official detour is: SR 66 to SR 219 to SR 29 to SR 116 to SR 197 to SR 66

· SR 66 between South Park Drive and Quellhorst Road, 24 HOUR BRIDGE CLOSURE April 18th – June 1st. The official detour is: SR 219 to SR 29 to SR 116 to SR 197 to SR 66

Hancock County

Interstate 75 between Perrysburg and County Road 99 north of Findlay will have the following restrictions through the fall during reconstruction and widening:

Through November, overnight lane restrictions, generally from 7 p.m. until 6 a.m., are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg and County Road 99 in Hancock County. Through December, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between U.S. 20 in Perrysburg and County Road 99 in Hancock County.

Through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between County Road 220 and Township Road 142, is closed for bridge work over I-75.

Ohio 103 between Ohio 698 and Arlington will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for pavement repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

Hardin County

Ohio 81 at Township Road 165 east of Dunkirk may be restricted at times through the work zone during a drainage repair project. Work will require Township Road 165 to close for one day during the week. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

Ohio 195 between McGuffey and Ohio 309 may be restricted to one lane through the work zone at times for drainage repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

Ohio 67 between Kenton and County Road 75 may be restricted to one lane through the work zone at times during drainage repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

Mercer County

· SR 119 between SR 118 and the Indiana State line, Daily lane closures April 12th – June 15th between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm. One lane will remain open for travel in each direction through the use of flaggers.

· SR 118 between North Street and Vine Street, 24 HOUR ROAD CLOSURE April 11th – 19th. The official detour is: SR 29 to US 127 to SR 219

· SR 117 between SR 118 and SR 127, 24 HOUR BRIDGE CLOSURE March 23rd through May 7th. The official detour is: SR 118 to US 33 to SR 127.

· Mercer- SR 29 between Enterprise Street and US 33, Daily lane closures April 18th – July 30th between the hours of 7 am and 5 pm. These closures will be in Mercer and Auglaize counties. One lane will remain open at all times.

Putnam County

Ohio 694 between 114 and 115 will be restricted for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the Putnam County ODOT maintenance garage.

Shelby County

· Michigan Street between Pomeroy Avenue and Oak Avenue, 24 HOUR BRIDGE CLOSURE April 4th – August 5th. The official detour is: Michigan Street to Highland Avenue to Oak Avenue

· SR 29 between Wells Road and McCartyville Road, 24 HOUR SHOULDER CLOSURE March 21st – July 29th. Lanes will be restricted to 12 feet with shoulders closed. One lane will remain open in each direction.

· I-75 southbound over the Great Miami River, Annual bridge inspections Tuesday, April 26th between the hours of 8 am – 12 pm. Single lane closures will be in effect while crews evaluate the bridge. One lane of traffic will remain open on the bridge during inspections.

· I-75 northbound over the Great Miami River, Annual bridge inspections Tuesday, April 26th between the hours of 12 pm – 4 pm. Single lane closures will be in effect while crews evaluate the bridge. One lane of traffic will remain open on the bridge during inspections.

Van Wert County

U.S. 30, both directions, from Ohio 49 to Dutch John Road will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for sealing of pavement cracks. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

U.S. 127 (Washington Street) between Fox Road and Ervin Road in the city of Van Wert closed April 11 for reconstruction and widening of the road. Access to local businesses is maintained. Traffic is detoured onto Ohio 81, Ohio 118, Ervin Road/Van Wert-Decatur Road, U.S. 224 and U.S. 30 back to U.S. 127. The closure will remain in place until fall. Work is being performed by Helms & Sons Excavating, Findlay.
