ROTC Cadet Jason J. Turnwald, son of Marie and Jeff Turnwald, of Cloverdale, an ROTC cadet at the University of Toledo, received the George C. Marshall Award during an awards ceremony at the U.S. Army Combined Arms Center, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. He is a 2012 graduate of Ottoville High School, Ottoville.
National Guard Pvt. Steven J. Garver, son of Chris R. Rea, of Jenera, graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is a 2010 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School, Rawson.
National Guard Pvt. Jacob W. Parker, son of Katie and Richard Parker, of Alger, graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He is a 2015 graduate of Upper Scioto Valley High School, McGuffey.
AIR FORCE
Air Force Reserve Senior Master Sgt. Charles H. Crawford was promoted to his current rank while serving as electrical and power production superintendent with 445th Civil Engineering Squadron, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. He has served in the military for 20 years. He is a 1990 graduate of New Riegel High School, New Riegel, and earned an associate degree in 2013 from the Community College of the Air Force, Montgomery, Alabama.
