Jan. 21

Sheila Elston, Ottawa, and John Snyder, Findlay, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married Oct. 22, 2015 in Leipsic, and have no children.

Lisa Ickes, Leipsic, was granted a divorce from Loren Ickes, Leipsic. They were married Nov. 1, 2003, and have two children.

Heather S. Maag, Continental, and William A. Maag, Continental, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married March 12, 2008 in Ottawa, and have two children.

Jan. 22

Eric M. Walters, 29, 21009 Road 21, Fort Jennings, was sentenced to 12 months in prison for assault. He was given credit for 155 days served.

LNV Corp., Lake Zurich, Ill., was granted a foreclosure judgment against John A. Bejarano, Leipsic, and Norma Bejarano, Leipsic, in the amount $52,309.68, plus interest and costs.

Jan. 25

Kimberly K. Bartley, Continental, and Todd J. Bartley, Continental, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They have two minor children.

Kevin M. Arnone, 31, 440 N. Taft St., Ottawa, was sentenced to 84 days jail for possession of drugs. He was placed on five years community control and given credit for 80 days served. Arnone must complete a drug assessment, follow all recommendations and his driver’s license was suspended for one year.

David J. Engard, 30, 617 E. Broadway St., Leipsic, pleaded guilty to importuning. Bond was continued while a pre-sentence investigation is conducted with sentencing set for 9 a.m. March 24. A charge of compelling prostitution was dismissed.

Jan. 27

Lt. David E. Roney was sworn-in as interim sheriff of Putnam County by Putnam County Common Pleas Court Randall Basinger.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

Jan. 19

Rene Rodriguez, 45, 210 Eakin St., Columbus Grove, pleaded no contest to OVI second offense and was found guilty. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 150 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $475 suspended, three-year license suspension, complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center and placed on probation for 24 months. A charge of improper lane usage was dismissed.

Ciara Luna, 21, 1350 N. Locust St., Apt. 610, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to theft. Sentence: 180 days jail, 178 days suspended, $150 fine and perform 40 hours community service and pay $84.15 restitution to Smoke-E’s.

Jan. 21

Joseph B. Thayer, 32, 503 S. Main St., Delphos, pleaded guilty to OVI second offense. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 90 days suspended $1,000 fine, $200 suspended, two-year license suspension, complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center and placed on probation for 36 months. A charge of stopping after accident; exchange information was dismissed.

Jan M. Vetter, 47, 735 N. Water St., Fort Jennings, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of second-offense reckless operation. Sentence: Four points, 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, one-year license suspension, and must complete DIP.

Jan. 22

Justin T. Kersh, 28, 1550 W. Wayne St., Lima, pleaded guilty to OVI second-offense. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 90 days suspended, $1,000 fine, $400 suspended, five-year license suspension, complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center and placed on three years probation. Charges of consumption in a motor vehicle, no permit to drive and speeding were dismissed.

Jan. 25

Ann M. Vorhees, 42, 220 West St., Columbus Grove, pleaded no contest to driving under OVI suspension and was found guilty. Sentence: 180 days jail, 175 days suspended, $250 fine, and license suspended for one year.

Andrew D. Sisson, 24, 206 S. Main St., Columbus Grove, pleaded no contest to menacing and was found guilty. Sentence: 30 days jail, suspended, $250 fine, $100 suspended, and no contact with victim or with Walmart.
