Numerous cars vandalized, entered in Bluffton

BLUFFTON — More than a dozen cars were entered or had a tire slashed in the village in what appears to be a crime spree by one person, Police Chief Rick Skilliter said.

The crimes occurred early Tuesday with someone entering cars and stealing change or money. No car was broken into but if the car were locked a tire was slashed, Skilliter said.

Police found shoe prints at some of the locations. The crimes occurred in the northwestern side of the village on Riley and Garmatter streets, along with some nearby roads, Skilliter said.

Investigators have no suspects. Anyone with information on the crime or needing to file a report should call the police department at 419-358-2961.
