Lima agencies receive grants to fight homelessness

LIMA — The Ohio Development Services Agency issued more than $700,000 in grants to two Lima agencies in an effort to help battle homelessness.

Lima/Allen Council on Community Affairs received more than $430,000 to fund its homeless prevention and rehousing initiatives, while Samaritan House received $306,000 to help fund its emergency shelter operations.

The grants are part of more than $18.7 million in funding from the agency, funding 50 emergency shelters and community organizations statewide.
