Interstate 75 Reconstruction project For the most recent information concerning the Interstate 75 reconstruction project through Lima and Allen County please visit www.odotlima75.org.

Interstate 75 between Fourth Street and Cridersville

Beginning Monday and continuing through Friday of next week (November 16-20), the far right northbound lane on Interstate 75 will be closed from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily for seeding of the road side and installation of signs.

The lane closure will result in the closure of the northbound entrance and exit ramps at Breese Road, and the northbound exit ramp to Ohio 65. The ramp closures will also occur between the hours of 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily next week:

Interstate 75 northbound traffic wishing to access Ohio 65 will be detoured north to Fourth Street to Interstate 75 southbound back to Ohio 65.

Interstate 75 northbound traffic wishing to access Breese Road will be detoured north to Fourth Street to Interstate 75 southbound back to Breese Road.

Breese Road traffic wishing to access Interstate 75 northbound will be detoured south on Interstate 75 to National Road back to Interstate 75 northbound.

Electronic message boards will communicate the closures.

Interstate 75 northbound and southbound will continue to be restricted daily to one lane at times for the next several weeks for reconstruction of the interstate.

Traffic throughout the project area from Cridersville to Fourth Street is traveling in a contraflow pattern with two southbound lanes and one northbound lane traveling on the southbound side of the interstate, separated by concrete barrier, and one northbound lane traveling on the northbound side.

Yoder Road

Yoder Road closed November 4 for approximately two months to allow for construction of a retaining wall which will be built between Yoder Road and Interstate 75.

Access to the Orthopedic Institute of Ohio (OIO) is maintained at the main entrance near Ohio 65. The rear entrance/exit to and from the facility near the railroad tracks will function as an exit-only during the construction.

Yoder Road will be a one-way road from the railroad to the main entrance where it will resume two-way traffic operation.

During this construction, properties located between the railroad and Breese Road will only be accessible from Breese Road.

Construction of the retaining wall is part of the Interstate 75 reconstruction project.

Ohio 65 Interchange

The Interstate 75 northbound exit ramp to Ohio 65 will be closed daily November 16-20 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. to allow for seeding of the road side and installation of signs.

Interstate 75 northbound traffic wishing to access Ohio 65 will be detoured north to Fourth Street to Interstate 75 southbound back to Ohio 65.

The Ohio 65 northbound entrance ramp will remain closed.

Traffic is detoured north on Ohio 65 to the Fourth Street interchange back to I-75 northbound.

Breese Road Interchange

The Interstate 75 northbound entrance and exit ramps at Breese Road will be closed daily November 16-20 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 p.m. to allow for seeding of the road side and installation of signs.

Interstate 75 northbound traffic wishing to access Breese Road will be detoured north to Fourth Street to Interstate 75 southbound back to Breese Road.

Breese Road traffic wishing to access Interstate 75 northbound will be detoured south on Interstate 75 to National Road back to Interstate 75 northbound.

Ohio 501 between Fort Amanda Road and Ohio 117 will close November 16 for five days for replacement of culverts at two locations. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 117 and Ohio 198 back to Ohio 501. Work is being performed by the ODOT Allen County maintenance garage.

Auglaize County

Ohio 198 between East Auglaize Street and River Street, 24-hour road closure Aug. 31-Nov. 30. The official detour is Ohio 67 to county Road 25A to Infirmary Road.

Hancock County

Interstate 75 southbound exit ramp to U.S. 68/Ohio 15 will be closed for approximately four hours, possibly on Wednesday of the week, for grinding of the pavement. The closure will be in place from approximately 8 p.m. to midnight. Traffic detoured onto Interstate 75 southbound to Ohio 235 back to U.S. 68/Ohio 15. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

Ohio 37 north of Mount Blanchard will be restricted to one lane through the work zone one day during the week, likely Wednesday or Thursday, for pavement grinding. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

Ohio 235 north of the village of McComb will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for tree trimming. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hancock County maintenance garage.

U.S. 68 at select locations within Hardin and Hancock counties will be restricted to one lane through the work zone for placement of pavement markings following installation of rumble strips down the center line. Work will take place at the following locations. Work is being performed by ML Markings, Columbus:

-From the Logan County line to the south edge of the city of Kenton

-From north of the city of Kenton to the south edge of the village of Dunkirk

-North of the village of Arlington to the south edge of the city of Findlay

U.S. 224 from Trenton Avenue in Findlay to County Road 212 east of Findlay including Main Street is restricted at some locations for minor finish work following a resurfacing project. Work will continue through the week. Work is being performed by Bluffton Paving, Bluffton.

Ohio 15 resurfacing project is complete from the Findlay airport to Ohio 37 both eastbound and westbound and will be unrestricted by Saturday, November 14.

Interstate 75 in Wood and Hancock counties: Through 2016, southbound I-75 is reduced to two lanes from US 20 to I-475 in Perrysburg. Through November, from 8pm until 6am, single lane restrictions are possible on I-75 between the I-75/I-475 interchange in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Through 2016, 11-foot lane width restrictions are in place on I-75 between US 20 in Perrysburg to CR 99 in Hancock County. Project complete: October 2017. All work is weather permitting.

Special events …

• Effective Monday, April 27, through December, Township Road 101 in Hancock County, between CR 220 and TR 142, will be closed for bridge work on I-75.

Hardin County

Sealing of pavement cracks will take place at the following locations during the week. Work is being performed by the ODOT Hardin County maintenance garage.

-Ohio 81 through the village of Dola.

-Ohio 31 between Ohio 292 and County Road 160

-Ohio 195 between Ohio 309 and County Road 110.

Ohio 53 near Grant from just north of County Road 90 and County Road 80 is now open.

Ohio 273 closure between Ohio 292 and Ohio 31 for a railroad crossing repair has been postponed.

Ohio 31 in the village of Mount Victory closed October 30 and will remain closed until mid November for a railroad crossing repair. Traffic will be detoured onto Ohio 292 and Ohio 47 back to Ohio 31. Work is being performed by CSX Railroad and Vorst Paving.

Ohio 31 in the city of Kenton between Decatur Street and Espy Street closed October 28 for approximately two weeks for a railroad crossing repair. Traffic is detoured onto U.S. 68, County Road 140 (Letson Avenue) back to Ohio 31. Work is being performed by CSX Transportation.

Putnam County

Ohio 12 at the west edge of Columbus Grove closed October 7 for approximately five weeks for installation of sanitary sewer. Traffic detoured onto Ohio 65, U.S. 30 and Ohio 115 back to Ohio 12. Work is being performed by Underground Utilities, Inc.

Van Wert County

U.S. 224 from the Indiana line to the city of Van Wert will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for grinding and smoothing of areas of pavement. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

U.S. 30 throughout Van Wert County will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for grinding and smoothing of areas of pavement. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

U.S. 224 at Slane Road will be reduced to one lane through the work zone for ditch cleaning. Work is being performed by the ODOT Van Wert County maintenance garage.

U.S. 127 within Van Wert and Paulding counties will be restricted to one lane through the work zone during placement of pavement markings following the installation of rumble strips down the center line. Work is taking place from the Mercer County line to the south edge of the village of Paulding, excluding the city of Van Wert. Work is being performed by ML Markings, Columbus.
