ParaSisters to speak on their ghost findings at Bluffton Library

BLUFFTON — ParaSisters, a paranormal investigators group, will speak at the Bluffton Library on its ghost findings from its investigation earlier this year.

The Bluffton Library will be closing its doors at 2 p.m. Saturday for regular library programs and services and reopen at 6:30 p.m. for a special after-hours event.

The investigation was facilitated by paranormal experts Sarah Bradford and Kellie Ward from the all-female team, ParaSisters. The sisters plan to reveal audio and video evidence of what they believe to be proof of paranormal activity in the Bluffton Library.

“I have noticed little things that get misplaced or go missing,” said Lauren Canaday, public service coordinator at the Bluffton Library. “Doors have been opened with nobody around that could have opened them. I have even experienced some strange things that I couldn’t explain while being here.”

The Bluffton Library was built with the construction of an addition to the Bluffton High School in 1933. The plan was not only to meet the needs of the school but also the public. The library contained a circulation area, magazine alcove, stacks and a reading room.

ParaSisters was invited by the library in August to investigate paranormal activity that library workers suspected to be happening within the walls of the 82-year-old building.

The ParaSisters is a professional paranormal investigation team based out of Indianapolis. It has many years of combined experiences in the field of paranormal research. The team uses special tools and technology to conduct investigations and team members study hours of footage and recordings during the weeks after investigations.

“I’m a skeptic. Only cause I try to debunk the theory first,” Bradford said. “We often get a lot of things that are haunted, but the mind also likes to play tricks. So I’m skeptic till I know more from the investigations.”

The ParaSisters have worked with other notable investigation teams such as SyFy Channel’s Bama Boys, 765 Paranormal and the legendary Keith Age. The group is very passionate about what it does and promises “100 percent authenticity” during its investigations.

ParaSisters will hold a question-and-answer session after it is done presenting its findings.

Registration for the event is preferred. The library will be providing refreshments and staffing after hours for the event. Please note that library staff prefer that minors to be accompanied by an adult to this event.

You may email [email protected] to notify the library of your attendance or call 419-358-5016 during normal hours.
