PCS Nitrogen facility resumes operations

LIMA — A scheduled maintenance shut-down at PCS Nitrogen is coming to an end, and the plant will be noisy in the coming week as systems are brought back up.

“A significant investment was made during this outage to help reduce the noise levels associated with start up and shut down events,” said Todd Sutton, general manager.

This was the second of two planned outages, and during this period there were about 1,200 contract workers on the site.

The planned shut-downs happen every four to five years so equipment can be checked and repaired.
