Disabled, decorated vet to tell his story in Findlay

FINDLAY — Former U.S. Army Captain Luis Carlos Montalván, a disabled, decorated Iraq War veteran whose memoir has become a bestseller, will tell his story and read from his new children’s book at the University of Findlay. He will be accompanied by his service dog, Tuesday, the subject of his memoir, “Until Tuesday: A Wounded Warrior and the Golden Retriever who Saved Him.”

On Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m., at the Mazza Museum, 201 College St., Findlay, Montalván will read his children’s book, “Tuesday Tucks Me In” and discuss the importance of service animals. On Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., at the Winebrenner Theological Seminary, 950 N. Main St., Montalván will share his story. He will meet attendees and sign copies of his books at both programs.
