LIMA — Scott Floyd’s message was simple, but important, during his address before the West Central Ohio Safety Council.
The owner of Procter & Gamble Site Security and Fire System reminded the local companies in attendance that they must emphasize that all of their contractors and employees play a role in ensuring work-place safety.
Floyd noted a company faces many challenges when working with a variety of contractors on the same job. All contractors need to understand the dynamics that happen during an emergency response.
“I hope they get a sense of appreciation for everyone’s role and not just the safety, the fire, hazmat or medical folks, but the diversity in the concept and how everyone plays a role,” said Floyd.
Floyd shared with the group how his company integrates with the safety program at Procter & Gamble.
The group met Tuesday morning the Howard Johnson hotel.
