Driver finds 2-year-old boy on Lima’s Robb Avenue

LIMA — A local driver found a lonely 2-year-old boy early Monday morning. The boy was spotted wandering by himself in the 1400 block of Robb Avenue shortly after 7 a.m.

The driver who spotted the little boy pulled over, called the authorities and stayed with him until an Allen County Sheriff Officer arrived.

“We tried locating the parents by going knocking on doors in the neighborhood.” said Jim Everett, chief deputy for the Allen County Sheriff’s Office. “After about an hour, a deputy transported the boy to Children Services.”

The boy was located by his parents that day, after they had called the sheriff’s office and were instructed to contact Children Services.
