2 men arrested during drug searches in St. Marys

ST. MARYS — Two men were arrested on alleged probation violations Monday during drug-related searches in St. Marys.

At 3:30 p.m., the St. Marys Police Department and the Grand Lake Drug Task Force conducted two searches simultaneously at 1112 Nagel St. and 204 Williams St. in St. Marys. According to a news release from the St. Marys Police Department, suspected heroin and drug-related paraphernalia were recovered during the searches.

During the course of the investigation, Joe Hunter, 53, and Michael King, 32, were arrested and taken to the Auglaize County Correctional Center. The St. Marys Police Department and the Grand Lake Drug Task Force were evaluating the evidence collected to determine if there will be additional charges and/or arrests.
