Shawnee roundabout reopens after paving, now in final stages

LIMA — The roundabout at Shawnee and Fort Amanda roads reopened after a brief closure Saturday. The closure allowed for the paving of new asphalt in the center and approaching lanes of the roundabout.

According to Allen County Engineer Brion Rhodes, the roundabout will be closed again this coming weekend to allow for laying out and paving the pavement markings.

“Once that is completed, it will be reopened as a two-lane roundabout,” he said.

Next weekend’s closure is expected to take the entire weekend.
