LIMA — The driver of a tractor-trailer received minor injuries Wednesday when his vehicle overturned on Interstate 75.
The accident, reported at 7:14 a.m., happened on the interstate in Perry Township. Andre Avery, 52, of Belleville, Michigan, was southbound in the right lane when he drifted off the highway down an embankment. He struck a traffic sign and overturned, the Lima post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reported.
Southbound traffic was diverted to the left lane, which had been closed for construction work, while the semi was removed from the ditch. Avery was taken to Lima Memorial Health System to be treated for minor injuries, the patrol reported.
