LIMA — The Allen County Bike and Pedestrian Task Force will host a bike rodeo from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday in the E.S. Evans and Co. parking lot on West Elm Street near the Lima Family YMCA.
The event is free to children ages 5 to 12 and includes bicycle safety inspections and safety courses, helmet fitting, door prizes and refreshments. A free bike helmet will be given to the first 100 participants, with the child required to be present to win.
All participants are asked to bring their bikes and helmets and wear close-toed shoes.
