June 4

Christopher R. Rose, 33, 692 E. Main St., Logan, was sentenced to 10 days jail for failure to pay child support. The sentence was suspended provided he remain current in his payments and seek work.

June 5

Jeremy A. Mangas, 33, 210 Selhorst Drive, Apt. 114, Ottawa, was sentenced to 30 days jail for violating the terms of supervision. The violations included changing his residence without permission and failing to report to his supervising officer on more than one occasion. The sentence was ordered to be served concurrent with his other case and he was given credit for 12 days served. He must undergo drug and alcohol treatment and assessment, live with his brother in Leipsic and his license was suspended for 12 months. He was originally convicted of trafficking in marijuana and failure to appear.

Brentt M. Richardson, 20, 17801 Road E16, Continental, was granted judicial release and placed on five years community control. He must have no contact with any minor without supervision and must undergo sex offense counseling and obtain employment. He was originally convicted of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

June 9

Retired Hardin County Common Pleas Court Judge David Faulkner was assigned to hear the case involving Matthew R. Stateler, 34, Putnam County Jail, charged with retaliation, harassment with bodily substance, aggravated menacing, domestic violence, criminal damaging and felonious assault. Stateler is accused of making threats against Putnam County Common Pleas Court Judge Randall Basinger. Sheriff deputies were escorting Stateler back to jail following a court hearing on May 20 when the alleged threats were made. He also is accused of spitting on a deputy after being placed in a restraint chair at the jail. He pleaded not guilty to those charges during an arraignment on Friday.

June 10

Manuel Sanchez, Columbus Grove, and Bobbi Sanchez, Columbus Grove, were granted a dissolution of marriage. They were married in Columbus Grove Sept. 16, 2006, and they have three children.

June 12

Pandora Grain & Supply, Inc., Pandora, was granted a judgment from Dave Birkemeier, Columbus Grove, in the amount of $23,908.87, plus interest and costs.

Putnam County Municipal Court dispositions

June 9

Blake W. Baltrip, 20, 1029 N. Franklin St., Delphos, pleaded guilty to an amended charge of persistent disorderly conduct. Sentence: 10 days jail, suspended, $100 fine, and no contact with victim for two years.

June 12

Leon B. Hopkins, 57, 441 E. Second St, Apt. C, Ottawa, pleaded guilty to OVI first offense. Sentence: Six points, 180 days jail, 135 days suspended, $750 fine, $375 suspended, one year license suspension, and complete assessment at Pathways Counseling Center, or equivalent agency.
