Engineers to accept bids for road resurfacing

LIMA — Allen County commissioners approved a resolution Tuesday to have the county Engineer’s Office go out for bids for county and township road resurfacing.

Engineers plan to pave 14 miles of road this year, 12 miles of which are county roads. County engineers noted that 80 percent of the funding for county road resurfacing should be paid through Issue 1 funding.

The entire project comes with an estimated cost of $1.26 million. The bidding process will open at 11 a.m. June 24.
