Chief Fittro resigns from Delphos Police

DELPHOS — Delphos Police Chief Kyle Fittro has turned his resignation, effective June 26.

Fittro made the announcement in a released statement Monday.

Fittro said in his resignation “After much careful thought and consideration, I have elected to resign, effective June 26, at 4 p.m. I am doing this to pursue a career in the private sector and have already secured a position within the private sector.”

The release said assistant chief Mark Slate will be appointed as acting chief until the vacancy can be filled.
