ALLEN COUNTY — The nominating period for eligible candidates to serve on the local Farm Service Agency County Committee from American, Bath, Jackson and Richland Townships begins June 15, 2022.
The FSA county committees help local farmers through their decisions on ARC/PLC, loans, conservation and disaster programs by working with county executive directors. To be eligible, a nominee must participate or cooperate in a program administered by FSA, be eligible to vote in a county committee election and live in the administrative area they wish to represent.
All nominees must sign the nomination form FSA_669A. All nomination forms for the 2022 election must be received or postmarked by August 1, 2022.
Ballots will be mailed to voters by November 7 and are due in the local USDA Service Center by December 5, 2022. Newly elected county committee members will take office on January 1, 2023.
