Model walks runway in spray-painted dress

Supermodel Bella Hadid had a dress spray-painted onto her before walking the runway Friday at a Paris Fashion Week show for luxury label Coperni.

Hadid, 25, stepped onto a platform wearing only nude underwear, according to Vogue. A team of people then began spraying her with a specially designed material.

That material, called Fabrican, transformed into a tight, white dress. A woman cut a slit into the dress and lowered the shoulder straps before Hadid strutted the runway as if she was wearing a normal dress.

Fabrican was founded by designer-scientist Manel Torres, who developed the synthetic spray-on material that hardens into a wearable fabric.

“It’s our duty as designers to try new things and show a possible future,” Coperni creative director Sébastien Meyer told Vogue Business. “We’re not going to make money on this, but it’s a beautiful moment — an experience that creates emotion.”
