African Experience Charity Gala

The first annual Charity Gala, presented by OHENEBA Soccer Academy, will be held at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima. The benefit will fund more than 650 scholarships for children to attend OHENEBA’s yearly soccer programs. Tickets are $60 for single, $100 for couple, $400 for table of eight. Black & White Ball Fashion Show
6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Friday
A runway show and live music by Sax B will highlight an elegant event held at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center in Lima. Attendees should wear their best black and white fashions. Tickets are $50 each, with proceeds going to benefit the Juneteenth Lima 2022 event. Only 100 tickets will be sold.
Party in the Park Welcomes Exploit
7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Friday
Bring lawn chairs to enjoy the fifth of six free concerts featuring the band ‘Exploit’ along the south side of the Auglaize River in downtown Heritage Park in Wapakoneta. Food and drink options will be provided, including a variety of food trucks and alcoholic beverages from the DORA Beer Tent. Sales from the beer tent will raise funds to support The Rotary Club of Wapakoneta. Carry-in beverages are not permitted.
28th Annual Rockford Car Show
4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday
The Rockford Lions Club will be sponsoring the 28th annual Car Show and Cruise-in, in conjunction with Rockford Community Days. Registration will be from 4 to 7 p.m, Friday, June 17th. Judging will begin at 6:30 p.m, with the awards ceremony beginning at 8:45 p.m. The event will take place in downtown Rockford.
Father’s Day Weekend Scavenger Hunt
All Day Saturday and Sunday
The Lake Improvement Association Grand Lake Scavenger Hunt, to be held Father’s Day weekend, Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19 around Grand Lake St. Marys. Scan QR codes to find clues that will take participants to area businesses. The event is playable by boat or by car and promises family fun for all ages. Participants who complete the Scavenger Hunt will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win their share of $1,000 in cash and gift card prizes. To enter, pick up a scorecard by June 17 ($20 each) at any of the following locations: St. Marys: Pantry Pride, Auglaize/Mercer CVB, St. Marys Chamber of Commerce, Celina: Mercer County Chamber of Commerce or Montezuma: Shoreline Bar & Grill.
