DELPHOS — Science at Delphos Middle School provides a hands-on learning experiences for students in fifth through eighth grades. Teacher Matt Spencer engages and empowers students to develop knowledge and skills they need to thrive. The classes involve computer science and engineering engaging students in hands-on activities, projects and problems; solving real-world challenges; and inspiring them to re-imagine how they see themselves.

LIMA — Kurt Swygart, of Lima, recently received the General Billy Mitchell award by the GLR-OH-114 of the Civil Air Patrol U.S. Air Force Auxiliary. Swygart, a Shawnee High School graduate and St. Charles Eagle Scout, is a senior at The Ohio State University studying Social Sciences Air Transportation with a professional pilot specialization.

COLUMBUS — Craig Pohlman of Venedocia has been elected to his second three-year term on the Ohio Farm Bureau Federation board of trustees representing Farm Bureau members in Allen, Paulding, Putnam and Van Wert counties. As one of Ohio Farm Bureau’s 26 trustees, he will help govern the state’s largest and most inclusive farm and food organization.
