LIMA — The Lima Exchange Club will hold its annual “Youth of the Year” luncheon at 11:45 a.m. Monday at Milano Cafe in Lima.
The luncheon will honor 12 seniors from Allen County high schools. Each student will receive a certificate and a $100 scholarship check from the Exchange Club.
The club will also choose an overall “Youth of the Year,” and will present that young man or woman with an additional $500 scholarship check. This person is selected by a panel of independent judges, based on an essay on the subject “Inspiring a Community to Become a Better Place.” This student will be eligible to compete for additional scholarship money at the Exchange Club District Convention in May.
