Salon owner wants to bring tropics to Lima

LIMA — Emma Lowe has opened Studio 808 at 1102 North West Street in Lima, Ohio. She has always been interested in the beauty industry. “I would stay at my grandparents’ house and I’d give them pedicures from the time I was 6 years old.”

The salon, Studio 808, gets its name from the Hawaiian area code. Emma wants to bring the beautiful tropics to Lima. The studio will provide the most current trends, professionalism, and an artistic touch to the beauty industry. The salon will offer three different styles of pedicures. Manicures, dip powder, and gel extensions will also be available.

A licensed nail technician since February of 2019, Emma dreamed of opening her own salon. “I chose to start my own business because my mom’s a business owner, my brother’s a business owner and it just runs in the family. I like setting my own rules and being on my own time. I’m very meticulous with how I do nails so I wanted it to be my way.”
