Lima Senior halts losing streak

FREMONT — Lima Senior’s Jaden Walker rushed for 89 yards on 12 carries and two touchdowns and Jaleel King caught five passes for 114 yards and two touchdowns as the Spartans ended a two-game losing streak Friday night with a 33-14 victory against Fremont Ross. Spartan quarterback Adrine Mitchell was 8 of 11 for 170 yards with two touchdowns. Walker had scoring runs of four and and 36 yards. Mitchell connected with King on touchdown tosses of 40 yards and 20 yards.The Spartan defense also got into the scoring act as Tyree Mays recorded a 65 yard fumble recovery for the touchdown. Lima Senior improves to 3-2 and 1-1 in the Three Rivers Athletic Conference.

Northwest Conference

Allen East 40, Bluffton 7

BLUFFTON — Mustang quarterback Spencer Miller was 9 of 10 for 183 yards and four touchdowns. Miller also ran for 86 yards on 11 carries. Allen East’s Caleb Smelcer caught five passes for 121 yards and two touchdowns. Also scoring touchdowns were Kain Foster and Chris Kleman also caught touchdowns. Bluffton’s Dakota Bricker ran for 92 yards on 11 carries.

Delphos Jefferson 50, Paulding 22

DELPHOS — Jefferson’s Hunter Binkley had 190 yards on 13 carries and two touchdowns and Delphos quarterback Jace Stockwell was 3 of 4 for 46 yards and three touchdowns.

Wapakoneta 41, Bath 13

WAPAKONETA — Redskin running back Landon Hall rushed for 136 yards and one toucchdown and teammate Manny Vorhees was 7 of 12 for 118 yards. Bath quarterback Kaden Sullivan rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns. Redskin Markus South had an intereception return for a touchdown and Rob Gerstner scored on runs of 2 and 16 yards. Redskin kicker Tristan Meyer had field goals of 20 and 48 yards.

Ottawa-Glandorf 42 Shawnee 0

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Ottawa-Glandorf’s Evan Kaufman caught four passes for 126 yards and two touchdowns and Titan quarterback Jay Kaufman, who ran for 59 yards on six carries, was 9 of 12 for 222 yards and three toudchdowns. The Titan defense limited Shawnee to just 160 total yards. Shawnee quarterback Ray Manley was 14 of 23 for 92 yards and two interceptions

ST. HENRY — Coldwater’s Dylan Thobe, who rushed for 118 yards on 18 carries and scored one touchdown, was 10 of 17 for 121 yards and one touchdowns. Coldwater’s defense shut out St. Henry in the last three quarters after giving up 14 points in the first quarter.

TOLEDO — Lima Central Catholic picked up its first victory of the season. T-Birds Thomas Williams had two touchdown catches and Jovon Robinson ran in a touchdown and scord on a pass. Quarterback Brendan Stolly threw for three touchdowns. Braydon O’Dell also caught a touchdown pass.
