LIMA — Jose Nogueras, a media veteran in the Lima region, has been named the new sports editor of The Lima News.
Nogueras brings broad experience to the job. Most recently he was the Associate Director of News Operation for Ohio Northern University. He’s also worked 11 years in the roles as a reporter, sports editor and managing editor in Kenton, St. Marys and Wapakoneta.
“Jose has the same passion for local sports as area fans and we all know that’s saying a lot,” said Jim Krumel, editor of The Lima News.
As sports editor Nogueras will be planning coverage, writing a column and feature stories and covering games.
He is a graduate of Texas State University.
