LIMA — Early Sunday, the Allen County Sheriff’s Office arrested a 24-year-old man believed to have stolen multiple vehicles.

The suspect, Andrew Vasques, of Ottawa, was found at a residence on Pilgrim Trail after authorities tracked snow from a stolen 2008 Ford Taurus found in Colony Trailer Park off Harding Highway.

The department was originally alerted of a stolen Dodge Ram Truck at 6 a.m. on Mahaffey Road. There they located a Chevrolet Trail Blazer that had previously been reported stolen from Putnam county.

Two hours later, the Dodge Ram Truck was found in a ditch on Pevee Road, where another vehicle was reported stolen — a 2008 Ford Taurus. The Taurus, found at 8:45 a.m, led deputies to the arrest.

Vasquez was being held in the Allen County Jail. Allen County Sheriff Samuel Crish said more information would be released after further investigation.
