Allie Thobe of Marion Local has been named the Midwest Athletic Conference Player of the Year in girls basketball.
Joining her on the first team were Brooke Welsch of Coldwater, Tori Le
Tori Lennartz of For Recovery, Cadence Jacobs and Emily Mescher of Marion Local, Rosie Westerbeck of Minster, Debbie Paul of New Bremen, Meg Reineke and Kenzie Schroer of New Knoxville, Ellie Stammen of St. Henry and Lauren Bruns and Christa Puthoff of Versailles. Marion Local’s Treva Fortkamp was named the coach of the year.
Fort Loramie’s Jessica Boerger was named the Shelby County Athletic League’s Player of the Year. Botkins’ Natalie Ambo and Kayla Heuker were named honorable mention.
