Coldwater’s Keck 4th in state diving

CANTON — Coldwater’s Caleb Keck finished fourth in the state boys 1-meter Division II diving competiton Wednesday at the C.T. Branin Natatorium.

Keck finished with 415.6 points. Stewart Spanbauer of Cincinnati Summit Country Day was the winner with 458.85 points. Chandler Kimmel of Celina finished seventh (389.05), Brock Fletcher of Shawnee was 10th (372.45) and Jake Browder of Celina was 16th (318.55).

In the girls event, Sawyer Weitzel of Celina was 13th (370.7). Claire Schuermann of Kettering Alter won the event with 483.35 points. Shannon Osterfeld of Coldwater (156.25) and Madison Taylor of St. Marys (151.5) did not advance out of the preliminaries, finishing 22nd and 23rd respectively.

The Division II swimming prelimnaries are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. today at the same venue.
