Area counties issue weather advisories

LIMA — Multiple counties in the region have either upgraded or issued a weather advisory Sunday night.

Putnam County upgraded to a Level 2 roadway advisory at 8 p.m. Sunday. Level 2 advisories are issued when roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Only those who feel it necessary to drive should be on the road and should contact employers before going to work.

Hancock County has also issued a Level 1 weather alert at 6:15 p.m. Sunday until further notice as a result of hazardous road conditions. Auglaize County has also reissued a weather advisory.

Residents are advised to use extreme caution when out on the road.
