LIMA — “Tough Chevy trucks are taking charge,” reads the sales brochure on the 1983 Chevy S-10 Pickup truck. The Chevy S-10 is a compact truck. It was the first compact pickup of the big three automakers. It was first introduced in 1982 and was affordable, rugged and practical. They were initially offered in two-wheel drive models, with a choice of four-cylinder or V6 engines. In 1983, an extended cab and 4×4 model was introduced.

Kevin Dawson, of Lima, brought his 1983 Chevy S-10 to The Lima News’ Real Wheels Cruise-In. He has owned this beauty for 25 years. The style makes this truck a favorite to chop and customize.
