Sharon Jefferson: It isn’t over

I cannot speak for anyone except myself, but last year was most challenging in so many ways. I knew the Lord was preparing me for the days ahead.

The church is headed for some great challenges. It is the season of great change, a season of recovery, a year of shift, shifting out of the old and shifting into the new. This is a time to release old hurts, forgiveness, bitterness and jealousy. Anything in your life that is not of God, release it.

We should be very careful what we listen to in the way of preaching and teaching.

You will see basically three types of ministers in the days to come. One type is those who will speak to your flesh, and the things they speak will cause you to feel good without spiritual substance or change of life. Then there are those who will speak to your emotions. This will cause you to be excited — maybe jump and shout. But again, there is no spiritual substance and no change of life.

So what leader do you want to follow? God has been preparing in righteousness an elite group of preachers and teachers who have been prepared to speak directly into your spirit man, as opposed to your flesh or your emotions. That will bring wonderful and powerful spiritual change in your life, and you will never be the same.

The church has missed a move of God. In the book of Song of Solomon we see that it isn’t over at all. Although we have missed the move, God in all of his mercy and grace is going to bring the move back. If we miss this one, I suspect it will be a time for our children or grandchildren to do the work.

In Song of Solomon 5:1-7, we see the bride (the church) had retired to her bed after bathing when there was a knock at her door from the groom (the Lord). The groom was knocking at her door, full of anointing, ready to release a new move of God. However, the bride failed to answer the door in time.

We must learn, when the Lord knocks on the door of our heart, we cannot hesitate. We must respond immediately. He is God. He is not going to wait until we get ready to answer.

Notice here that He left some anointing on the door knob — a sweet smell just to remind her that He had been there. Could it have been that the bride had been sleeping? Now that is very possible, but He left His sweet smell and just a little of His anointing, that King Priest Anointing after the order of Melchizedek, the priest, the prophet and the king anointing all in one empowering the church with an anointing that will change the world.

However, when the bride finally went to the door, the groom was gone and could not be found. She called for Him, but He would not answer. This is where the church has been for some time now.

Then the Scripture goes on to say that the watchmen, (preachers) smote the bride and wounded her when she went to look for the Lord. This happens to so many in the church. People are being wounded in church, beat up in church, because of a lack of righteousness and anointing.

I had a vision of the church some time ago. The church was dressed in her bridal attire with the exception of her veil (her most important covering), and there was a large dirty spot on the side of her gown. The Lord spoke to me and said the preachers have stolen the veil from the bride, their spiritual covering.

However, He is restoring the covering to the church, the veil, and He is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle. This move is coming on the wings of righteousness, not self-righteousness, but the righteousness of God. God is waking up His glory upon this earth. There are glory carriers who will revolutionize the earth in preparation for the coming of the Lord. It is not over. It is just beginning for the righteous.
